The sūtra says: 'If one destroys the grasping at dharmas abiding in the aggregates, one shall attain fearlessness regarding dharmas.' This means that the practitioner's mind abides in the aggregates and desires to initiate freedom from attachment; at that time, through metaphors such as illusions and mirages, they contemplate the aggregates as empty, attain freedom from the eight minds of agreement and disagreement, and realize the quiescent realm. Then, freed from the choking bonds of the aggregates, they attain a place of respite regarding dharmas. 'Dharmas' refers to the phrases of the ten conditionally arisen things. For a mantra practitioner, directly perceiving the yoga realm as being like mirror images and the moon in the water, without intrinsic nature and unborn, their station is equivalent to this.
