阿難頂禮佛足而白佛言：「自我出家，恃佛憍愛，求多聞故，未證無為。遭彼梵天邪術所禁，心雖明了，力不自由。賴遇文殊令我解脫。」

Ānanda prostrated at the Buddha's feet and said to the Buddha: "Ever since I went forth, relying upon the Buddha's fond affection and seeking extensive erudition, I have not realized the unconditioned. When afflicted and restrained by that Brahmā heaven's heterodox art, though my mind was clearly aware, my power was not my own. I depended on encountering Mañjuśrī to bring about my deliverance."
