8.23

「是食辛人修三摩地，菩薩、天仙、十方善神不來守護，大力魔王得其方便，現作佛身來為說法，非毀禁戒，讚婬怒癡，命終自為魔王眷屬，受魔福盡，墮無間獄。」

"When this person who eats pungent roots cultivates samādhi, bodhisattvas, devas, immortals, and the good spirits of the ten directions will not come to protect them. The king of demons of great power will obtain his opportunity, manifest as a Buddha body to come and speak the Dharma for them, disparaging the prohibitions and precepts, and praising lust, anger, and stupidity. At the end of life, they will naturally become the retinue of the demon king; when their enjoyment of demonic blessings is exhausted, they will fall into the Avīci Hell."
