「此名見勝無慧自救。悟則無咎，非為聖證。若作聖解，則有一分大我慢魔入其心腑，不禮塔廟，摧毀經像，謂檀越言：『此是金銅或是土木，經是樹葉或是疊華，肉身真常不自恭敬，却崇土木，實為顛倒。』其深信者從其毀碎，埋棄地中，疑誤眾生，入無間獄。失於正受，當從淪墜。」

"This is called seeing superiority without the wisdom to rescue oneself. If they awaken, there is no fault; it is not a realization of the sage. But if they interpret it as the realization of a sage, then a demon of great arrogance will enter their viscera: they will not pay homage to stūpas and temples, but will destroy scriptures and images, saying to the dānapatis: 'These are metal and bronze, or earth and wood; the scriptures are tree leaves or woven fabrics. Why do you not respect the permanently abiding true body of flesh, but instead venerate earth and wood? This is truly upside-down.' Those who deeply believe them follow them in smashing and breaking them, burying and discarding them in the ground, misleading sentient beings and falling into the Avīci hell. Losing right reception, they will fall into degeneration."
