「悟則無咎，非為聖證。若作聖解，則有空魔入其心腑，乃謗持戒名為小乘，菩薩悟空有何持犯？其人常於信心檀越飲酒噉肉，廣行婬穢，因魔力故，攝其前人不生疑謗，鬼心久入，或食屎尿與酒肉等。一種俱空，破佛律儀，誤人入罪，失於正受，當從淪墜。」

"If they awaken, there is no fault; it is not a realization of the sage. But if they interpret it as the realization of a sage, then an empty demon will enter their viscera, and they will slander the holding of precepts as Hīnayāna, saying, 'Bodhisattvas awaken to emptiness—what holding or breaking could there be?' Such a person will constantly drink alcohol, eat meat, and widely engage in lustful filth in front of faithful dānapatis. Due to demonic power, he gathers those people so they do not give rise to doubt or slander. When the ghost mind has entered for a long time, he may even eat excrement and urine, treating them the same as wine and meat, claiming all alike are empty. Violating the Buddha's vinaya and rules, misleading people into sin, and losing right reception, they will fall into degeneration."
