Regarding "how could there be discarding one and taking another?", Question: If the bodhisattva fundamentally cultivates the perfect practice, he discards the partial and small; how can you say there is no taking and discarding? Answer: Taking and discarding is precisely non-taking and non-discarding. Because he views the expedient through the perfect, it is truly not apart from mind-nature; how could one discard mind-nature to take mind-nature? This is because he sees only mind-nature. Below "however, the bodhisattva," although knowing it is fundamentally endowed, in its very essence it is empty and center, with nothing to be attained; hence there is no hardship or suffering, nor any conceptual discrimination.
