二別舉羯磨，明其成壞。法不孤起，終須四緣；隨義明非，不過七種。先就但心念法，以解七非；乃至白四，類七可解。

Second, singling out the karmans to explain their validity and invalidity. A rite does not arise in isolation; it ultimately requires four conditions. When explaining defects according to the principles, they do not exceed seven kinds. First, with respect to the pure mental-intention rite, to explain the seven defects; up to jñapti-caturtha, they can be understood by analogy with the seven.
