3.275

初中。《大集》云：無量眾生白佛，護持法故，佛讚言：善哉！諸大檀越。又云：破戒比丘，處眾說法，不得受信施，如葶藶子。破戒相者，乃至受畜八不淨物。名滓、曲、幻、賊、醉、旃陀羅等沙門也。廣如三十一卷中說。

First: The Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra states: immeasurable sentient beings addressed the Buddha, saying that for the sake of protecting and upholding the Dharma, the Buddha praised them, saying: 'Excellent, great dānapatis!' It also states: a bhikṣu who has broken the precepts, expounding the Dharma among the assembly, must not accept gifts of faith even as small as a mustard seed. As for the marks of breaking precepts, they extend even to receiving and keeping the eight impure things; they are called dreg, crooked, illusory, thievish, drunken, and caṇḍāla śramaṇas, and so on.
