《四分》：若比丘僧盡病，應遣信往，禮拜問訊。若別眾、若不和合、若眾不滿，亦遣信禮拜問訊。若尼僧盡病、若尼眾不和合、若眾不滿，亦禮拜問訊。《僧祇》：若尼來與欲，應受。不得述己道德，犯罪。《十誦》：受囑人尼來時，戶外敷一獨坐床，擬後坐上。

The *Dharmaguptaka* states: If all the bhikṣus are sick, they should send a messenger to go, pay homage, and inquire after them. If there is a separate saṃgha, if they are not in harmony, or if the assembly is not full, they should also send a messenger to pay homage and inquire. If the community of nuns is entirely sick, if the nuns' assembly is not in harmony, or if the assembly is not full, they should also pay homage and inquire. The *Mahāsāṃghika* states: If a nun comes to convey chanda, it should be accepted. One must not recount one's own virtues, which incurs an offense. The *Daśādhyāya* states: When the nun arrives, the person who receives the entrustment spreads a single-seat couch outside the door, intending to sit upon it later.
