比世中，多有行前略法，良由廣德難具。亦有行廣法者，具如《本疏》。其請法中，僧尼各五人已上，僧中有二十歲者，方行略廣二法。若不足，無二十夏，但禮拜問訊。

In recent times, many practice the previous abbreviated procedure, truly because extensive virtues are difficult to possess. There are also those who practice the extensive procedure, fully detailed in the *Original Commentary*. In requesting the teaching, only when there are five or more monks and nuns respectively, and among the monks there is one of twenty rains, may the two methods—abbreviated and extensive—be practiced. If insufficient, or if there is no one of twenty rains, they merely pay homage and make inquiries.
