3.477

《僧祇》，性惡罪上，無疑想故；彼云：女作黃門想觸，僧殘。悉從境制。若遮惡罪上，得有想疑故；文云：生，非生想、非生疑，吉羅。

In the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya, there is no doubt or perception regarding naturally unwholesome offenses; it states that touching a woman while perceiving her as a paṇḍaka is a saṃghāvaśeṣa. All are regulated according to the objective realm. However, regarding prohibitory unwholesome offenses, one may have perception and doubt; the text says: [regarding that which is] living, if one perceives it as not living or doubts whether it is not living, it is a duṣkṛta.
