八供養中，初文。無高座處，戒師坐上，聖僧抽下者；傳佛教誡，聖凡同稟；亦猶使者執王勅命，百官雖貴，孰敢見輕。

In "Section Eight: Making Offerings," the initial text: Where there is no high seat, the precept master sits above, while the noble monks step down. This is because he transmits the Buddha's admonition, which noble and ordinary alike receive; it is just like an emissary holding a royal decree: though the civil and military officials be noble, who would dare treat him lightly?
