四受衣法，作中，初科。律令差人，亦不出法。《僧祇》文云：大德僧聽！僧得此衣財，若僧時到，僧拜某甲比丘，及餘人，作僧迦絺那衣，白如是。大德僧聽（合牒白中緣本）！諸大德忍某甲比丘（云云如上）者，默然；若不忍者，便說；僧已忍某甲比丘（云云）竟；僧忍默然等，如常。（必有用者，依本宗綱緣改之。）

Fourth, in the procedure for receiving the robe, regarding the making, in the first sub-heading: The Vinaya orders appointing a person, but does not present the formula. The text of the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya states: 'Let the venerable Saṃgha listen! The Saṃgha has obtained this robe material. If the Saṃgha's time has arrived, let the Saṃgha appoint bhikṣu So-and-so and other persons to make the Saṃgha's kathina robe. Such is the motion. Let the venerable Saṃgha listen (combining and reciting the original circumstances of the motion)! If the venerable ones approve bhikṣu So-and-so (and so forth, as above), remain silent; if anyone does not approve, let him speak. The Saṃgha has approved bhikṣu So-and-so (and so forth); the Saṃgha approves and remains silent, etc., as usual.' (If anyone needs to use it, alter it according to the key circumstances of our own school.)
