"Five terrors" is the text spoken by the Buddha to Upāli. The first four are the fault of falsely taking disciples; the latter one is the fault of indolence. First, saying "not cultivating body, precepts, mind, and wisdom": this line should be read as running through what follows. In a provisional distinction, precepts belong to body and speech, and wisdom is mental contemplation. Alternatively, "mind" is simply samādhi, fully citing the three trainings. This clarifies that since one's own practice is already deficient, one definitely cannot benefit others. As for the three marks, the text lists them itself. Pouring water is also harming the soil. In all these cases, pure words must be used. Once confused about the marks of the precepts, directly making them do it is a dharma of extinction.
