In [the section on] chanting in an open wilderness: Having to stand up is to enable the Saṃgha to see and hear. Not stating the name is because in the karmavācanā the chanted marker is mentioned, and it is feared that mentioning names would mistakenly cause division; according to the Karma Commentary: "There are also cases where the name is mentioned, which is also admissible in principle, for both accomplish [the act of] the Saṃgha; hence we know it is not rigidly restricted." The four trees in the markers present the method to illustrate the markers; they are adjusted according to what is available, and do not necessarily have to be trees. "Muddled and erroneous" (紕謬) is like being confused and disorderly.
