Under "Further demonstration." Based on what was clarified above, the principle is already evident. The reason it is demonstrated again is: first, out of fear that someone might doubt, saying: "Both are holy teachings; even if they are used to adjudicate each other mutually, what fault is there!" Second, again out of fear that someone might say: "This may be so for the Dharmaguptaka, but the other schools are not like this." Therefore, it is explained once more. In the first text, the first two lines state the topic. From "meaning" onward explains it. For example, if one has studied the Dharmaguptaka oneself, and then relies on the Dharmaguptaka to adjudicate those who received the precepts under the Daśādhyāya-vinaya, the same applies vice versa for the rest. Where they agree, nothing need be said; where they conflict, there is a fault; hence it says "should one encounter," etc. "Tuō" (脱) means suddenly. "Lí" (罹) means to encounter. "Qiān" (愆) means an offense. The preceding line clarifies the error of judgment; the following line shows the offense of transgression. "Stupidity" means lack of knowledge.
