Second, "Those Whose Faculties Are Complete": because defects in deportment and physical marks defile and disgrace the saṅgha, they must be screened out. The text has three sections. First, it explains the marks of the condition. "Completeness of body", etc., briefly indicates the three faculties. "One hundred impediments" cites their general number. "Vinaya..." onward refers to a broader discussion, as cited fully below. "Based on..." onward determines the Vinaya text, first screening those that are definitively fixed. The *Commentary* says: "The ear, tongue, and mind are superior in aiding the Path; because the ear listens to the Dharma, the mind attends to the wrong and the right, and when doubts arise and are resolved, it cannot be made clear without the tongue." If these three have defects, ordination cannot be accomplished. "The rest..." onward explains those that are not fixed. As listed above, the marks vary in gravity, as in the formal questioning. Below, it refers to the *Transactions Commentary*, whose text appears in the upper fascicle.
