結略中。此土黃巾，或有信樂，宜準前法。《律》廣明者，先令剃髮，次與十戒，應至僧中乞法云：大德僧聽！我某甲外道從眾僧乞四月共住，願僧慈愍故，與我四月共住。三說。僧即安彼著眼見耳不聞處，作羯磨云：大德僧聽！彼某甲外道今從眾僧乞四月共住，若僧時到僧忍聽，與彼某甲外道四月共住，白如是。（羯磨準作。）彼行共住竟，令諸比丘心喜悅，然後與受具戒。

Under "concluding summary": If Yellow Turbans (Daoists) in this land have faith and joy, one should follow the aforementioned method. As explained extensively in the *Vinaya*: first have him shave his hair, next give him the ten precepts, and he should approach the Saṃgha and request the Dharma, saying: "May the venerable Saṃgha listen! I, the non-Buddhist so-and-so, request four months of living together from the Saṃgha. May the Saṃgha, out of compassion, grant me four months of living together." Said three times. The Saṃgha then places him where he can be seen by eye but not heard by ear, and performs the karma, saying: "May the venerable Saṃgha listen! That non-Buddhist so-and-so now requests four months of living together from the Saṃgha. If the time has arrived for the Saṃgha, and the Saṃgha approves, grant that non-Buddhist so-and-so four months of living together. This is the motion." (The karmavācanā is to be performed accordingly.) When he has completed the period of living together and caused the bhikṣus' minds to be pleased, only then grant him ordination with the complete precepts.
