正問中。下明行事，文相詳委，不更細釋；然於科段，稍有次序。必在講師臨文點竄，須令新學明曉事儀。今時愚師，凡見義章，多饒唇舌。至於行事，撥而不辨，便謂文寬無可尋究。及論附事，一無所知。空負傳通，全乖鈔旨。苟聽忠告，宜須慎之。七科行事，次第相由。

Regarding the formal interrogation: Below, the procedure of the transaction is explained; the text is detailed and thorough, so it is not explained further in fine detail. However, regarding the outline sections, there is a clear order. It definitely rests upon lecturing masters, when encountering the text, to annotate and emend it so that new students are made clearly aware of the ritual procedures. Foolish masters nowadays, whenever they see doctrinal chapters, indulge in lavish talk; but when it comes to the transactions, they cast them aside and do not examine them, claiming that the text is broad and has nothing to investigate. Yet when discussing practical matters, they know nothing at all. They vainly bear the task of transmission and propagation, completely defying the intent of the Manual. If one listens to loyal advice, one should be cautious about this. The seven sections of transactions depend on one another in succession.
