第二正受，敘由中。言正須者。顯前發戒，且令預習，未是正用；今將納法，縱令已解，更須委曲選擇要語，激動蒙心；戒師當此，不可率易；策導開解，納法之本，故云正宗。不下，遮濫。枉猶虛也。今下，標示。

Under the second section, the actual reception, in explaining the rationale: saying "truly necessary" shows that the earlier generation of the precept was merely for preliminary practice and was not the actual application; now, about to internalize the Dharma, even though [the candidate] has already understood, one must still detail and select essential words to stir the unenlightened mind. When the precept master confronts this, he must not be hasty or careless; guiding and opening understanding is the root of receiving the Dharma, hence it is called the principal matter. Below "bu" (not), it prevents abuse. "Wang" (vain) means empty. Below "jin" (now), it identifies and indicates.
