《四分》中，初引制緣。不及後安居者，謂五月十七已後受者。應下，示量法。計尺寸者，若食前受，影長為上，影短為下；食後反之。

Under the Dharmaguptaka: first, the conditions for the prohibition are cited. "Failing to make the later rains retreat" refers to those who receive the precepts on or after the seventeenth day of the fifth month. Below "ying" (should), the measuring method is shown. Calculating inches and feet: if receiving before the meal, a longer shadow ranks higher and a shorter shadow ranks lower; after the meal, it is the reverse.
