1.851

《善見》中。謂令一人立於日中，齊頭影處，以脚相接；或約全脚半脚及指，隨計多少，以分上下；食前食後，同上分之。眾數多少，即指受人，而語通上下；若連上釋，即謂示時定眾不亂；若貫下釋，即謂受已同聽說相。

Under the Samantapāsādikā: it means ordering one person to stand in the sun, aligning with the tip of the head's shadow, connecting foot to foot; or based on full feet, half feet, or toes, calculating the amount accordingly to distinguish senior and junior. Before the meal and after the meal are divided as above. The number of the assembly refers to the ordinands, yet the phrasing applies to both senior and junior; if explained in connection with the above, it means indicating the time to fix the assembly without disorder; if explained running into what follows, it means that having received [the precepts], they listen together to the exposition of the marks.
