說相中，初科。為緣起者，《律》因比丘受具已，與本二行不淨行；諸比丘呵擯，彼云何不先語我耶，白佛因制為說四夷。《十誦》、《僧祇》，更說僧殘，是戒分故。

Under expounding the marks: the first section. The conditions of origin: in the Vinaya, because a bhikṣu, having received the full precepts, engaged in impure conduct with his former wife, the bhikṣus rebuked and ostracized him, and he said, "Why did you not tell me beforehand?" The Buddha, on this account, instituted expounding the four pārājikas for them. The Daśādhyāya-vinaya and Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya also expound the saṃghāvaśeṣas, because they are subdivisions of the precepts.
