辨處中，初科，引論，前明僧施二食。僧食無別，於義可解。若施主食，準下亦須前後異時。若四人下，明別乞。律下，會釋不同。以律緣起，調達五人別乞而制故。初示律結犯。必下決論不犯。兩文互現，義不相違。

In "Distinguishing the Place", the first section cites the treatise, first clarifying the two kinds of food: saṃgha food and donor food. That saṃgha food has no separateness can be understood in meaning. If it is donor food, according to what follows it must also be at different times, before and after. From "If four persons..." onward clarifies separate begging. From "Vinaya..." onward harmonizes and explains the differences: because the origin story in the Vinaya was instituted on account of Devadatta and five persons begging separately. First it shows the Vinaya concluding an offense. From "Certainly..." onward resolves that the treatise finds no offense. The two texts manifest reciprocally, and their meanings do not contradict.
