2.2057

須治中，《僧祇》三節，初示悔心。令下，明開懺。比丘下，出行法，初明同行。彼此不淨者，宿觸同故。下明別行。得受食者，同下位故。除火淨者，異下位故；及金銀者，異淨人故。從沙彌受食者，不自捉故。

Under 'Must Undergo Treatment': the Mahāsāṃghika-vinaya has three sections. First, it shows the mind of repentance. 'Making...' below clarifies the granting of deśanā. 'Bhikṣus...' below sets forth the practice: first, it clarifies shared practice. 'Mutual impurity' is because the overnight contact is the same. Below, it clarifies separate practice. 'Allowed to receive food' is because one is equal to the lower status. 'Except that fire purification' is because one differs from the lower status; and 'gold and silver' is because one differs from an attendant. 'Receiving food from a śrāmaṇera' is because one does not take hold of it oneself.
