2.2070

第一方，初科，初約義略釋。故下，引論委釋，初明制觀察。若下，明具緣成犯。通緣列三，別緣出二，皆略示耳。於下，例通餘戒。廣下，指廣。彼論自指佛陀波羅造，彼廣明十三罪相。

First method: in the first section, first, it briefly explains according to the meaning. 'Hence...' below cites a treatise to explain in detail: first, clarifying the restriction on observation. 'If...' below clarifies fulfilling the conditions to constitute an offense. Three common conditions are listed, and two specific conditions are presented, all of which are merely brief indications. 'At...' below applies this generally to the other precepts. 'Broadly...' below points to the extensive [treatment]. That treatise itself refers to Buddhapāla's composition, where he broadly explains the characteristics of the thirteen offenses.
