第三方中，初正明作法用僧，先引論文。言業聚者，謂作業假眾，聚即眾也。四部下，牒釋。四僧者，一四人，二五人，三十人，四二十人。若下，次明行時對境。前一即覆藏時，對一人白；次一即六夜，須僧中白。出罪無可行，故云一席耳。

In the third method: first, directly clarifying using the Saṃgha to perform karmas, first citing the treatise text. 'Karma assembly' means the assembly relied upon to perform the karma; 'assembly' is the Saṃgha. 'Four divisions...' below takes up and explains. The four Saṃghas are: 1. four persons, 2. five persons, 3. ten persons, 4. twenty persons. 'If...' below, next, clarifies facing the object at the time of practice. The former one means that at the time of concealment, one addresses one person; the next one means that during the six nights, one must address the Saṃgha. In expelling the offense, there is no practice to perform; hence it says 'a single sitting'.
