In the sixth: the eight matters. The first and third both involve going outside, divided into monastery and non-monastery; the second and fourth relate to guest bhikṣus, divided into entering and leaving; the sixth and seventh depend on location, divided into having people and having no people; the fifth and eighth are each separate matters. "Walking slowly" means pacing gently, to exclude walking quickly; in that case, not announcing is not an offense. Multiple people sharing a room is not parivāsa. Furthermore, among the eight matters: the first five and the eighth are forfeited entirely due to failure to announce; the sixth and seventh are forfeited because the situation is improper. The note says "already obtained" refers to the days already practiced previously; "not yet obtained" refers to the days forfeited. If one practices again later, one merely continues from what was already obtained to complete the previous number.
