答中，初科，上二句示罪。罪名齊者，謂罪同約制也。業隨心者，謂重輕就業也。重下，明懺，上二句明心悔有殊。下二句明制懺無別。卷初，即篇聚中云：重者重責心，輕者輕責心。行事之時，雖同對責；當隨事重輕，用心厚薄。

In the answer, in the first section, the first two lines indicate the offenses. "Uniform names of offenses" means the offenses are equally based on the prohibitions. "Karma accords with the mind" means that grave and light depend on the karmic [action]. From "Grave" onward explains the confession; the first two lines explain that there are differences in mental repentance. The next two lines explain that the prescribed confessions admit no distinction. "The beginning of the fascicle" refers to [the section on] categories and clusters, which states: "For grave ones, reproach the mind gravely; for light ones, reproach the mind lightly." At the time of carrying out the act, although they are equally reproached face to face, one should apply the mind with greater or lesser gravity according to the gravity or lightness of the matter.
