第九。（慈地因見羊行淫，便言羝羊如沓婆，母羊如慈地尼；向諸比丘，我今親見，非前無根，因此而制也。）

The ninth. (Because Mettiya saw sheep copulating, he thereupon said: "The ram was like Dabba, and the ewe was like the nun Mettiyā." He said to the monks: "I have now seen it in person, this is not groundless as before"; hence it was instituted.)
