Under [the comparison of] monks and nuns: first, the numbers are shown. "Thirty" shows that the forfeiture pāyattikas are completely identical. Under "The remaining...", the points of identity and difference regarding bare pāyattikas are shown. Nuns have 178 in all; compared with the 90 [of the monks], they share 74 precepts; the nuns do not have 16 precepts: teaching without authorization, [teaching after] sunset, mocking instruction, making robes, giving robes, sitting in a screened place, traveling by appointment with a nun, boarding a boat by appointment [with a nun], traveling by appointment with a woman, accepting praised food, urging to eat enough, demanding delicious food, [using] ivory or horn, the sitting mat, covering a scab, and the Buddha's robe. Apart from these, the 104 precepts among the nuns are fully listed in the nun precepts; since the names and numbers are numerous, they cannot be cited in full, and whoever needs them may consult them. The referral to a separate section means: the identical ones are as in the "Explanation of the Marks [of Precepts]", and the distinct ones are in the "Chapter on Nuns"; furthermore, the Meaning Commentary and the Precept Commentary contain complete distinctions.
