第二。（佛在舍衛，六群毀罵斷事人因制。）戒名。有云惡口，然據律中亦通善法。今云罵者，但是辱他，通收善惡。

Second. (The Buddha was in Śrāvastī; the precept was formulated because the group of six verbally abused an adjudicator.) Name of the precept: some say "foul mouth", but according to the vinaya, it also extends to good things. Here saying "reviling" merely means insulting another, encompassing both good and evil.
