三無記多別。一無情局無記，有情通三性；二就情中，報色是無記，心則通三性；三就心中，三心局無記，行心通三性。下明二種，初縱放者，謂泛爾無記；次約睡狂，即昏迷無記。

Third, the morally indeterminate has many distinctions. First, insentient things are restricted to the morally indeterminate, while sentient beings pervade the three natures. Second, with respect to sentient beings, retribution matter is morally indeterminate, while mind pervades the three natures. Third, with respect to the mind, the three minds are restricted to the morally indeterminate, while the volitional mind pervades the three natures. Below, two kinds are explained: first, 'lax indulgence' refers to the general morally indeterminate; next, regarding 'sleep and insanity', this is the comatose morally indeterminate.
