三中。《十誦》得飲苦酒者。《母論》制斷，有酒兩故，據是時漿。由無酒氣，作非時飲；而在此明，未詳何意。

In the third [section], regarding the Daśādhyāya-vinaya permitting the drinking of bitter liquor (vinegar): the Vinayamātṛkā prohibits it, because it possesses the two properties of alcohol, according to which it is a timely syrup. Because it lacks the vapor of alcohol, it is made into an untimed drink; however, it being explained here leaves its intended meaning unclear.
