The Dharmaguptaka-vinaya: this is the non-offense passage of the precept on suspecting and harassing, where it says committing from pārājika down to duṣkṛta, hence it says "from duṣkṛta on up"; fearing that they might falsely receive benefits, an exception is made to inform them so they may repent according to the Dharma. If one uses this to examine oneself, who would still be worthy to receive offerings? If one merely nourishes the body, how is this worth discussing? If one can reflect upon oneself, how could one not feel shame? The various texts cited above all rely on purity of precepts; furthermore, one must arouse counteraction when facing the object to then be worthy to receive offerings. If one lacks both of these, both become causes of suffering; the Buddha's words are not empty, and one must firmly believe and uphold them.
