3.71

四中，初引《善見》。文列七緣，兼上成八。《四分》，初別舉清隔。具下，通示四礙。恒懷守護，不失無罪；忽爾遇緣，失法無罪，先慢不攝失法得罪。三斷並見離衣戒，故指如上。《義鈔》無文。疏即二疏。

In the fourth [part], first it cites the *Sudarśanavinaya-vibhāṣā*. The text lists seven conditions, which, together with the one above, make eight. In the *Dharmaguptaka-vinaya*, first it separately mentions pure separation. From 'Possessing' onward, it generally indicates four obstructions. Constantly harboring the intention of safeguarding, if not lost, there is no offense; if suddenly encountering a condition, losing the method incurs no offense; if prior negligence leads to failure to gather it, losing the method incurs an offense. The three severances are all seen in the precept on being separated from one's robes, hence referring back as above. There is no text in the *Yichao*. 'The commentaries' refers to the two commentaries.
