3.72

五中，《多論》，初明不受無離（亦復非長）。《善見》離亦犯提，故注顯異。若下，次明加受失淨。

In the fifth [part], in the *Sarvāstivāda Vinaya Vibhāṣā*, first it clarifies that if it was not formally accepted, there is no 'separation' (nor is it extra). In the *Sudarśanavinaya-vibhāṣā*, separation also constitutes a pāyattika, so the note indicates the difference. From 'If' onward, it next clarifies that adding a formal determination causes loss of the purification.
