In the third [part]: The Pañcavargika teaches the etiquette of receiving food. The Mahāsāṃghika indicates the method of eating. "Swirling food" means turning it around in the mouth. The Ekottarika-āgama encourages laypeople to serve food. Kings and ministers attending to duties was the standard etiquette in the Western regions. In this land, Emperor Wu of Liang personally performed the serving. Such humbling of oneself to revere the Dharma is unheard of past or present.
