Conditions of the offense: regarding the first, because the hand procedure is lost after midday and is not prolonged. Regarding the next condition, because it was first received by hand, the oral procedure is then accomplished, hence it involves both receipts. In the fourth, medicine is taken to treat illness, its efficacy having an allotted duration; beyond the limit it has no efficacy, so when reaching seven days, it should be kept through declaration of purity; if one deliberately violates this without declaring, the offense is determined on the eighth day. Regarding the fifth, 'absence of circumstances': in the Vinaya, circumstances such as giving it to others, loss, destruction, converting it into non-medicine, taking with intimate intention, or forgetting, all incur no offense.
