大德一心念！我某甲，今請大德為羯磨阿闍梨，願大德為我作羯磨阿闍梨。我依大德故，得受大戒，慈愍故。（三說。彼應答言：）可爾。

"May the Bhadanta focus his mind! I, so-and-so, now request the Bhadanta to be my karman ācārya; may the Bhadanta act as my karman ācārya. It is by relying upon the Bhadanta that I may receive full ordination, out of compassionate pity." (Spoken three times. He should reply:) "It is granted."
