我今呵責汝！汝去、汝莫入我房、汝莫為我作使、汝莫至我所、不與汝語。（是謂和上呵責弟子法。阿闍梨呵責弟子亦五，詞同，唯換第四句「莫至我所」云：）汝莫依止我。（彼盡形壽呵責。佛言：「不應爾。竟安居呵責，亦不應爾。病者，不應呵。」）

"I now rebuke you! You must go; you must not enter my room; you must not perform errands for me; you must not come to where I am; I will not speak with you." (This is called the procedure for an upādhyāya rebuking a disciple. An ācārya rebuking a disciple also has five phrases, with the same words, only replacing the fourth line, "you must not come to where I am," with:) "You must not rely upon me." (They rebuked them to the end of their lives. The Buddha said: "It should not be so. Nor should one rebuke someone for the duration of the rains retreat. If one is sick, one should not be rebuked.")
