大德僧聽！某處比丘尼僧夏安居竟，比丘僧亦夏安居竟。比丘尼僧說三事自恣：見、聞、疑。大德慈愍故語我，我若見罪，當如法懺悔。（三說。此比丘尼禮僧足已，還至本寺，鳴椎集比丘尼眾，不來者囑授，告尼眾云：）

"May the venerable saṃgha listen! The bhikṣuṇī saṃgha in such-and-such a place has concluded the rains retreat, and the bhikṣu saṃgha has also concluded the rains retreat. The bhikṣuṇī saṃgha declares pravāraṇā in three matters: what has been seen, heard, or suspected. May the Venerables, out of compassion, instruct me; if I see my fault, I will repent dhammena." (Say three times. Having paid homage at the feet of the saṃgha, this bhikṣuṇī returns to her own monastery, strikes the gaṇḍī to assemble the bhikṣuṇī saṃgha, receives authorization from those who do not come, and announces to the bhikṣuṇī saṃgha:)
