Second, the indestructible dedication: attaining indestructible faith in the Buddhas of the three times, in the bodhisattvas, and in the Buddha's teaching, looking upon sentient beings with eyes of compassion, and dedicating these wholesome roots to cause them to attain this indestructible faith. By the power of dedicating this indestructible faith in the Three Jewels, one gathers all wholesome roots without impairing them; hence it is called the indestructible dedication. Therefore, the second [dedication] leaves the hindrance of little learning, causing them to practice not being separated from the times of the Buddha's appearance; this is the second dedication, because one constantly attains the sight of the Buddha and hears the profound Dharma.
