Fourth is the dedication reaching everywhere. When cultivating roots of goodness, one dedicates with these roots of goodness in this way, causing the power of merit of these roots of goodness to reach everywhere, just as the reality-limit reaches nowhere not at all. That is, by means of roots of goodness reaching up to the places of buddhas, one makes offerings to all buddhas, adorned throughout the three periods of time, even filling all worlds of the ten directions in a single thought-moment. Furthermore, mindful of all the offering implements of the buddhas and bodhisattvas of the ten directions, one dedicates them all with roots of goodness, with an undistracted mind, and without deceitful or harmful intent; one dedicates them toward the major marks and minor characteristics, and even dedicates them toward the buddhas of pure worlds. A bodhisattva of the ten directions reaching this point attains the supernatural footstep reaching everywhere, conforms to all dhāraṇīs and eloquence, and causes all sentient beings to rejoice. Because by these roots of goodness there is no place of buddhas or the like not reached, and no place of sentient beings not reached, it is named the dedication reaching everywhere. Therefore, the fourth is abandoning the obstacle of abandoning sentient beings, cultivating the place where sentient beings are brought to maturation; this is the fourth dedication.
