17.12
「如是所說至差別云何」者，此下大文第三義便明斷善。一問惡業皆與現善相違，諸斷善根由何業道？二問斷善、續善，相別云何？
Regarding "As for what has been explained ... what are the differences?": Below this is the third major section, which as a convenience of exposition clarifies the severing of the wholesome [roots]. First, it asks: Since unwholesome karma is entirely contrary to the present wholesome, through which course of action do those who sever the wholesome roots [do so]? Second, it asks: What are the differences in characteristics between the severing of the wholesome and the reconnecting of the wholesome?
