Regarding "Two functioning simultaneously up to there are not the seven scattered wholesome [factors]": below this is the distinct explanation, clarifying two courses of action functioning simultaneously with volition. 'Two functioning simultaneously' means that when the wholesome five consciousnesses, or the knowledge of destruction and knowledge of non-arising based on the formless realm, are present, there are not the seven scattered wholesome branches of the desire realm mentioned before; there are only non-greed and non-hatred. Because the five consciousnesses are free from discrimination, and because the knowledge of destruction and knowledge of non-arising consist in the cessation of seeking, neither of them is view; hence there is no right view. Because there is no restraint based on formless concentration, there is no mind-conforming morality.
