18.12

「如是僧破至是無間果」者，答。如是僧破因誑語生，故說破僧是無間果，非無間業。因受果名，故說無間名破僧也。

Regarding "Such a schism of the Saṃgha ... is an uninterrupted fruit": this is the answer. Such a schism of the Saṃgha arises from false speech; therefore, schism is said to be the fruit of the uninterrupted, not the uninterrupted karma itself. Because the cause receives the name of the fruit, the uninterrupted [karma] is called schism in the Saṃgha.
