18.11

心不相應行，無覆無記性者，此不和合心不相應行蘊所攝，是無記性。問：「既無記性，豈成無間？」答：「如是破僧，因誑語生，誑語是無間故，說破僧是無間果，非無間體，因受果名，故說無間，名為破僧。」

"A formation not associated with mind, of the unobscured-unrecorded nature": this disharmony is subsumed under the skandha of formations not associated with the mind (citta-viprayukta-saṃskāra) and is of an unrecorded (avyākṛta) nature. Question: "Since it is of an unrecorded nature, how can it constitute an immediate retribution (ānantarya)?" Answer: "A schism of the Saṅgha like this arises caused by false speech; because false speech is [an act of] immediate retribution, it is said that the schism of the Saṅgha is the fruit of immediate retribution, not the essence of immediate retribution. The cause receives the name of the effect; thus the [cause of] immediate retribution is spoken of under the name of 'splitting the Saṅgha.'"
