「然彼所問至如何不名記」者，此即論主釋通。然彼所問：蘊與有情為一為異？理應捨置，一異之問不應為記。記言應捨置，如何不名記？既發言記，所以名記。

On the passage from "However, what is asked" to "how is it not called an answer?": here the author of the treatise resolves the issue. What they ask—whether the skandhas and the sentient being are identical or different—ought in principle to be set aside; a question of identity or difference should not be answered. To answer by stating that it should be set aside—how is this not called an answer? Since one utters words to answer, it is therefore called an answer.
