「有餘難言至誰是見用」者，有餘異執作是難言：若眼能見，眼是見者，誰是見用？彼計見、用各別，由計不同，故為斯難。或是識見家異師難彼計眼是見者，識是見用。

"Others raise the objection […] what is the function of seeing?" refers to other divergent views raising this objection: If the eye can see, and the eye is the seer, then what is the function of seeing? They posit that the seer and the function are separate, and because of their different position, they raise this objection. Or, it is a different master of the school holding that consciousness sees who objects to those positing that the eye is the seer and consciousness is the function of seeing.
